Strengthening Family Bonds in Recovery

At Freedom House, we recognize that addiction is not just an individual challenge but a family one, underscoring the need for a family-centered recovery approach. Although we do not offer group family therapy, we provide individual therapy sessions that can include family members upon request, emphasizing the client’s ongoing recovery process. These sessions are pivotal in understanding the dynamics of addiction as a family disease and formulating strategies that foster a supportive home environment. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that recovery is significantly enhanced when families are actively involved in the healing process, working together towards a sustainable solution. This family-driven approach is designed to rebuild trust, improve communication, and reinforce the family as a cornerstone of lasting recovery.

Mission Statement for Freedom House

At Freedom House, our mission is fueled by a profound commitment to foster an environment where individuals in recovery can rediscover and redefine a quality of life that may have seemed unattainable. Founded on deep compassion and an unwavering dedication to excellence, our approach is holistic—caring for the mind, body, and spirit of each person who comes to us seeking a path to recovery.

We are dedicated to bridging the gap from recovery to reintegration into society, providing a seamless transition for those moving from treatment facilities or navigating the complexities of re-entry from incarceration. Through our comprehensive levels of programming, we offer a supportive, structured environment that champions the journey toward sustainable recovery.

Freedom House is built on the foundation of community. Recognizing that long-term success in recovery is bolstered by connection, all our staff and residents bring their own lived experiences to foster a genuine, supportive network. We employ Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) and engage in practices that encourage social interaction, physical well-being, and spiritual growth.

Celebration is integral to our ethos. We understand that each individual’s journey is unique, marked by personal victories and milestones. Our community dinners and events are more than just gatherings; they are a testament to the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of our clients as they navigate their path in recovery.

In essence, Freedom House is more than a recovery center—it’s a beacon of hope, offering a new lease on life through comprehensive care, community support, and a celebration of the human spirit’s capacity to heal and thrive.
