Freedom House Treatment Programs Overview

At Freedom House in Las Vegas, we offer a diverse array of treatment levels and care options tailored to support recovery from addiction and co-occurring disorders. Our facility provides a nurturing environment designed to assist clients through their recovery journey, offering both the structure and the freedom necessary for effective rehabilitation.

Levels of Care at Freedom House

  • Residential Treatment (Levels 3.5 & 3.1):
    • Level 3.5 Care: Intensive support for co-occurring disorders, featuring 25 hours of structured activities weekly. Clients receive comprehensive care including holistic treatment plans created by dually licensed clinicians. Movement off-property is strictly regulated with required staff escort.
    • Level 3.1 Care: Similar setting to Level 3.5, offering 15 hours of structured activities weekly, focusing on substance abuse therapy. Clients also have restricted movement, ensuring a controlled environment conducive to recovery.
  • Outpatient Treatment (Levels 2.1 & 1.0):
    • Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient (IOP): Flexible scheduling with 3 sessions per week, each lasting 3 hours, designed to accommodate work and personal commitments.
    • Level 1.0 Outpatient: Offers continued treatment with frequency of sessions tailored to individual progress, supporting ongoing recovery maintenance.
  • SAPTA Certified Transitional Housing: Provides a step-down continuum of care, allowing clients to gradually adjust to less structured

Treatment Environment and Support

  • Personalized Treatment Plans: Each client at Freedom House receives a customized treatment plan considering the severity of their addiction, previous substance use, and any co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Comprehensive Therapy Options: We utilize various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, the Matrix Model, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing.
  • Structured Daily Routine: Clients in residential care enjoy three meals a day and are engaged in a strict treatment schedule to develop healthy habits. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day to provide continuous support.
  • Engagement and Responsibilities: Clients participate in both clinical activities and case management, including obtaining vital documents and fulfilling legal obligations.
  • Community and Responsibility: Assigned chores and responsibilities help integrate clients into the community, fostering a sense of accountability and teamwork.

Additional Program Features

  • Safety and Security: All clients’ packages, including snacks and toiletries sent by families, are thoroughly inspected upon delivery. To maintain safety and compliance, homemade food is not accepted, and opened items are discarded if not returnable.
  • Aftercare Planning: A critical component of treatment, aftercare planning begins upon admission, with the treatment team working closely with clients to ensure a robust support network is in place post-treatment.

What to Bring to Freedom House

Appropriate Clothing: Prepare for the varied Las Vegas climate by packing both warm and cool weather attire, including layers like sweaters for cooler indoor temperatures. We restrict each resident to 8 pieces of each type of clothing, two pairs of shoes, and two headwear items (bandanas are prohibited). Laundry facilities are available, with powdered laundry detergent provided.

Reading Material: Bring books or magazines that promote a positive outlook and are supportive of your recovery journey.

Prescription Medications: Must be kept in their original prescription bottles for verification during intake.

Essentials: Don’t forget your driver’s license or ID and your insurance card.

Additional Permissible Items

  • Drinks in plastic bottles with sealed lids.
  • Pre-packaged snacks.
  • Personal toiletries for daily use.
  • Unopened cigarette packs or cartons, and brand-new, unopened vapes.

What NOT to Bring

  • Energy drinks and drinks in aluminum cans.
  • Any form of drugs, alcohol, or CBD/marijuana products.
  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms.
  • Opened vape products or inappropriate clothing.
  • Homemade items made outside of the facility.

Valuables and Security

While bringing items of significant value is discouraged due to our no liability policy for lost or stolen items, you will have access to a locked drawer for everyday items and secure lock boxes managed by staff for high-value possessions.
